About us

Three generations in Lerín

Since 1956, the same family and the same idea: cooking with good produce and treating every guest as if they were at home.

Restaurante Borrasco opened its doors in Lerín in 1956. Its name pays tribute to José San Juan “Borrasco”, who began the family tradition with his wife, Luisa Pitillas, on Calle Mayor. There you could enjoy his delicious vegetable stew, his typical fresh asparagus with poached eggs and, of course, his small casseroles of rabbit and ajoarriero with snails and his lamb offal.

After 36 years serving our guests, we moved to Calle Abadejo no. 2: a larger, more modern and welcoming premises dedicated exclusively to the restaurant business.

We are now the third generation running the business, striving to improve every day. Over the years we have kept the first chef's traditional dishes on our menu while introducing new dishes based on garden vegetables, fresh seasonal fish and meat from the region, combining tradition and modernity with a touch of creativity. Our specialities include stuffed asparagus and our delicious pork trotters stuffed with foie and Iberian ham. All of it with the aim of ensuring our guests enjoy their meal. If you would like an overview, we have a guide to where to eat in Lerín.
